The following is a listing of community based courses sponsored by
the Leavenworth County Chapter of the American Red Cross. This schedule
includes community courses presently scheduled at our Leavenworth office on
525 Shawnee Street.
To register and pay for a class, visit the Leavenworth office, pay the fee and pick up your class text. WORKPLACE TRAINING A program intended to meet the needs of the business community. Modules include First Aid, CPR, and AED along with the Ergonomics, Slips, Trips & Falls, Back Injury Prevention, Violence Awareness, Managing Stress and Your Heart Matters components. For further information contact your local Red Cross. FIRST AID/CPR/AED CFAS:Community First Aid and Safety COMMUNITY FIRST AID AND SAFETY (CFAS) is a class comprised of four modules: Adult CPR, Infant CPR, Child CPR, and First Aid Basics. The entire course is taught regularly by the chapter but combinations of modules may be scheduled as needed. For further information or to schedule a class, please call our office.COST: Community First Aid & Safety: $45 Community CPR (Adult & I/C): $40 Date
Time CPR/PR: CPR for the Professional Rescuer CPR/PR is an advanced CPR course available on a limited basis to individuals to meet specific requirements. This course requires the purchase of a pocket mask as an additional piece of equipment. Courses are scheduled on an as- needed basis. For further information or to schedule a class, please call our office. COST CPR/PR: $50 (includes mask) FIRST AID/CPR/AED or CPR/PR CHALLENGE You may challenge (take only the written and skills tests required to pass the course of instruction) for full certification in any basic level Red Cross course. Challenges are held at 9:00am-1:00pm Monday-Friday. To insure there is an instructor to administer the test please call our office. COST Challenge: $20 FIRST AID/CPR/AED INSTRUCTOR COURSE Instructor level courses are scheduled periodically and as needed. Call for further information. COST COST: $150 CHILD CARE COURSES The Child Care Courses are designed to improve the quality of child care by training caregivers in health, safety and child development and are available upon request. COST: COST: $5 BABYSITTING CLASS A course in babysitting and CPR for youth 11 years to 16 years of age. Red Cross Babysitting courses are also offered through the Harold Youth Cent at Ft. Leavenworth and the Women’s Community Y in Leavenworth. COST: COST: $45
